The recent opening of our fifth mental health clinic marks a significant milestone for us. On November 13th, Purple House Clinic (PHC) Birmingham opened its doors for the first time. With nearly a quarter of adults and over 4,500 children experiencing a mental health problem across the West Midlands, the private practice located in Coleshill is set to ease the increasing demand on NHS services whilst also benefitting the local community.
Led by Clinical Director and Clinical Psychologist, Dr Danielle Grey, PHC Birmingham will provide a range of high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. Some of you may already know Danielle from the fantastic work she has been doing with PHC Leicester and we’re thrilled to see her open PHC Birmingham. Launching with a team of highly skilled specialists, including Danielle, the clinic will quickly look to build a large multidisciplinary team to meet the ever-growing local demand for mental health support services and specialist neurodiverse assessments.
“I’m so excited that we have opened the doors to my new Purple House Clinic here in Birmingham and to be able to deliver high-quality therapy services to clients in the area,” said Danielle. “Mental health services are continuing to experience rising demand nationally and that often exceeds available capacity in both adult, children and young people’s services. Following the pandemic, many more people are recognising the importance of mental health and are seeking opportunities to access timely and tailored support, whether that be through the NHS or private services, so being able to offer such an essential service is vital.
