Quotation Marks
The Psychologist at Purple House suggested various interventions for our son which were implemented at home and at school. Following these changes, there has been a miraculous turnaround in his well-being. I can’t thank Purple House enough – our lives have been transformed!

Parent of young child

The Psychologist at Purple House was amazing. I felt safe with her from the very first session. She was supportive and professional and with her help I have been able to begin the journey back to truly living my life. She has changed my life in a very real way and I’m so proud of myself for making it as far as I did with her help. Thank you!

My work at PHC Birmingham:
I work as an Associate Clinician at Purple House Clinic Birmingham and see children, families and adults for a range of assessments and therapeutic interventions. The aim of my role is to support individuals and families in understanding their current experience of difficulties and working with them to feel more equipped in managing these. I often meet with parents who are very worried about their children due to issues such as anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental issues, sleep problems, and school-related difficulties. I also offer assessment and therapy to adults for a range of mental health difficulties and will work with clients using a range of therapy models.

The impact of my work at the Clinic:
Often clients seek support from Purple House because they have tried various other strategies, experienced long waits to access support and then decided to explore private therapy options. This means I see clients very quickly and they can have as many or as few appointments as they would like. We work together to develop therapeutic goals that form the focus of our work together. I hope my work with clients helps them to leave feeling more empowered and in control of their mental health, armed with some helpful skills in helping them to reach their potential.

The benefits of working as a Clinician:
I find my role at Purple House to be very rewarding as I’m able to work flexibly and offer appointments to suit my clients. I also really value being able to offer therapy in the therapy rooms which are beautifully decorated and create a lovely calm and safe environment for our clients. The Purple House team have been very welcoming and I have valued being able to network with our very skilled clinicians to share ideas and resources, as well as having the flexibility to get excellent supervision from experts in the field.
