Grace Davies is a highly experienced educational leader whose career has spanned almost twenty years across both independent and state schools, in primary and secondary settings. From starting her career as a teacher of French, she has subsequently held a number of significant leadership roles, including Head of Department (MFL, English and Maths), Assistant Head for Inclusion & SENCO, Senior Deputy Head, and latterly Interim Headteacher at Loughborough Amherst School. Her experience includes leading whole-school teaching and learning strategy, boarding, assessment, safeguarding (including serving as a Designated Safeguarding Lead), pastoral care, inclusion, curriculum and staff development, school improvement, operational leadership and the strategic leadership of both pupils and staff.
She combines this senior leadership experience with a deep understanding of children’s needs, developed through many years of direct work with pupils, staff and families. Her expertise in inclusion is a particular strength, underpinned by the National SENCo Award and a longstanding commitment to ensuring that every child is understood and supported as an individual. She is passionate about helping children achieve success academically, socially and emotionally, and about equipping school staff and families to support that journey effectively.
Grace holds a First Class degree in French Studies, including a year at the Université de Montpellier, as well as a PGCE, the National SENCO qualification and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership and Management. She brings to the clinic a rare combination of academic excellence, school leadership experience, and a genuine dedication to improving outcomes for children and young people.
