Your treatment journey
Overview
We work collaboratively with clients to create a framework for understanding and managing their challenges. This framework encompasses three key elements:
- Understanding Your Challenges: We help clients gain a deeper understanding of their challenges, including their underlying causes and contributing factors. This process involves exploring personal history, identifying patterns, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the individual’s unique situation.
- Developing Practical Skills: We equip clients with practical skills and strategies for managing their challenges effectively.
- Personalised Support and Guidance: We provide ongoing support and guidance to help clients implement their new skills and strategies in their daily lives.
By combining these elements, we empower clients to navigate life’s complexities with greater confidence and resilience.
We carefully match you with a clinician whose expertise aligns with your needs and the information you provide. Our goal is for you to work with the same clinician throughout your journey.
The detail:
Before you begin therapy, we’ll meet for an initial assessment, lasting 1.5 hours, to determine the type and duration of therapy that’s right for you. During this session, we’ll discuss your concerns, explore potential causes, and develop a personalised treatment plan. We’ll also discuss any therapeutic models that might best fit your needs.
Following your initial assessment, most adults and older children benefit from weekly sessions, lasting one hour each. This frequency allows for the best possible progress, but we’re always open to exploring other options. For families seeking support for younger children facing emotional or behavioral challenges, less frequent sessions may be more suitable.
The goals and outcomes of therapy vary for each person. Our aim is to help you understand your challenges, process past experiences, and overcome obstacles.
We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Some clients choose to return for additional support, whether it’s for “top-up” therapy or new concerns. Knowing we’re here for you provides the reassurance and continuity you deserve.
In-depth psychological assessments
Some individuals may require a more detailed psychology assessment, which is a separate service at an additional cost. Learn more about in-depth assessments by clicking below.
