Dr Morris is the co-founder and CEO of the Purple House Clinic network, as well as Clinical Director of the Purple House Clinic Leicester. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC) and a Chartered Psychologist (BPS). Dr Morris’ role as CEO at Purple House includes overseeing support to Purple House clinics and taking a lead on clinical governance and service development. As Clinical Director at our Leicester based clinic, Dr Morris co-ordinates our multidisciplinary team of clinicians and oversees referrals.

Dr Morris has been qualified as a Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years and more recently she has undertaken additional specialist training in Coaching Psychology. She is experienced in working with clients of all ages - adults, children and adolescents. She is able to offer assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, stress/burnout, trauma, emotional / interpersonal problems and child behavioural problems. She has a particular interest in psychological coaching and helping adults manage work-related stress and achieve personal and professional goals. Dr Morris utilises several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy and attachment models.

Prior to working in private practice, Dr Morris worked in the NHS for 9 years, including 4 years as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

About Steven

As co-founder and Operations Director of The Purple House Clinic, Steven plays a pivotal role in both the strategic oversight and daily management of the company. His responsibilities are broad, encompassing the direction of all non-clinical activities at the Loughborough clinic and steering the operational framework—including systems, development, marketing, and finance—for the growing Purple House network.

Steven brings a varied academic background to his role, including a degree in Geography from the University of Oxford and a Master's in Urban Conservation. However, his comprehensive operational skill set has been developed first-hand, through his deep immersion in building The Purple House Clinic from its inception. By helping to grow the company into a major force in UK private mental health and neurodiversity care, he has cultivated the expertise required to manage a leading clinical practice.

Together with co-founder Dr. Katie Morris, Steven is proud to have built a company that embodies its core values. The Purple House Clinic is committed to operating with unwavering integrity and the highest professional standards, all while keeping empathy at its heart.

Outside of work, Steven is a dedicated father to his three young children. He also enjoys going to the gym, listening to podcasts, reading, and following the continuing misfortunes of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

Lissie supports the administration services at The Purple House Clinic. Should you call our Leicester office, it is probably her voice offering you a warm greeting. Raised in South Africa, she completed her secondary education on the Isle of Man. She had big dreams of studying Geology, Biology and Theology but found herself working for the oldest recruitment agency in Leicester in the early 2000’s, when she met her husband. Having spent over 20 years working in the recruitment industry, she possesses a transferable skill set, well suited to ensuring successful clinic operations. She loves all things related to Japan, Golden Retrievers and chocolates.

She specialises in Trauma (PTSD), depression and anxiety as well as issues affecting older people. She has a PhD in Neuropsychology, which supports her skills in assessing a person’s cognitive functioning.

Prior to working in private practice, Dr Murphy worked in the NHS for 20 years. Dr Maroni is an Associate Psychologist at the Purple House Clinic. Dr Day has more than 30 years post qualification experience prior to working in private practice. She has workedas a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and in the charity sector, occupying a number of roles including Head of Specialty and National Clinical Lead.

Dr Day is experienced in working with adults, offering evidence based and best practice approaches. She is an accredited CBT therapist and provides psychological assessment and intervention for a range of common mental
health and psychological issues. These include low mood, depression, anxiety, panic, social anxiety, stress, obsessive compulsive difficulties, low self-esteem, low confidence, life adjustments/changes, grief and loss. Dr Day has extensive experience of working with problematic alcohol and drug use, dependence and co existing psychological and mental health difficulties. Within her NHS role, she continues to hold a senior leadership position, and regularly supports people living with complex co-occurring conditions.

Dr Wood is an Associate Psychologist at Purple House. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist. Dr Wood is experienced in working with clients of all adult ages – from 18 to 70 and provides a highly compassionate and non- judgmental space. She provides assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, PTSD, work related stress and burnout. She also offers support to individuals diagnosed or self-diagnosed as neurodivergent, including ADHD, autism and AuDHD.

She specialises in working with adults who are neurodivergent in a neuro-affirmative way and offers post diagnostic support and tailored interventions. She is skilled in working with complex presentations and also has a specialist interest in working with young people, and addictive behaviours, including gambling and tech. Her main models of therapy are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Relapse Prevention (RP). She also draws from psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, DBT, and has a psychoanalytic lens.

Dr Wood worked in the NHS for 24 years, including 12 years in leadership and senior management positions as the Head of a Forensic Drug and Alcohol Service and Lead Principal Psychologist. Emily understands that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, often triggering distressing emotions, thoughts, or behaviours that seem disconnected from personal goals. Emily is committed to working collaboratively with individuals to explore their current challenges and develop strategies for reducing psychological distress. She fosters a compassionate, safe, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic space. 

Qualified in EMDR therapy, a highly effective approach for addressing trauma and emotional distress, Emily also incorporates methods such as Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her integrative, person-centred approach ensures therapy plans are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Recognising that therapeutic terminology can sometimes feel unclear or intimidating, Emily prioritises empowering people with knowledge and understanding throughout their therapeutic journey.

Emily has a particular passion for perinatal care, supporting people through the profound changes associated with pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Fiona is an Associate Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered) with the Purple House Clinic Online. She completed her doctoral training in 2014 and has since gained substantial experience working with adults with varied and often complex mental health needs.

Alongside her private work, Fiona works as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within a specialist NHS Mental Health Rehabilitation service.

Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, she has worked in several other settings including forensic inpatients services, an intensive community anorexia service and community mental health teams. This breadth of experience means that Fiona has developed the skills and knowledge to work with adults facing a wide range of challenges in relation to their mental health and wellbeing.
