The Purple House Clinic is an expanding franchise network of private psychological healthcare clinics in England and Scotland. We currently have locations in Glasgow, Leicester, Lincoln and Rugby. Head Office is located in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire.

Our small Head Office team is expanding and we are looking for an enthusiatic Content and Communications Coordinator to support our marketing and PR activities. This individual will hold an important role within the franchise network, undertaking creative content creation (e.g. blogs and articles) and posting / curating social media communications for the benefit of the whole network.  They will play a key role in public communications, sharing good news stories and writing case studies about the clinics and their good work. The role is outlined in more detail in the job description below. 

The sucessful candidate will have considerable experience and skills in writing, with the ability to produce creative and well-written professional articles and social media posts. You will also need to have a good working knowledge of Facebook and LinkedIn. You do not need to have a qualification in mental health work, but an aptitude and interest in writing about related topics is essential. The successful candidate will benefit from joining our company pension scheme. The post-holder will be based in the lovely village of Woodhouse Eaves (on the outskirts of Loughborough). This location offers easy access to the M1 and Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. The ability and willingness to travel to other locations across the East Midlands is required. The post is offered on a part-time basis; the agreed work pattern will be influenced by business needs as well as the candidate’s preference.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Strategy

  • To take a lead in the national marketing strategy, creating monthly themes and plans for PR / social media activity, incorporating national calendar events and celebration days.
  • To maintain awareness of social media and PR strategies relevant to franchising; keeping abreast of content created, and activities undertaken, by other franchise networks.

 Content Writing / PR

  • To write industry-relevant blogs relating to mental health, developmental disorders, parenting etc.
  • To ghost-write expert articles, working together with PHC clinicians to obtain content.
  • To carry out interviews and write case studies e.g. franchisees, clinicians, clients.
  • To write other interesting content for social media e.g. industry-relevant quotes, poetry, thought provoking prose.
  • To write newsletters (e.g. for clients or for clinicians) incorporating relevant news from across the clinic network.
  • To write franchise award entries.
  • To write articles for franchise media.
  • To undertake copy writing and proof reading as required e.g. service brochures, website.
  • To create documents as required e.g. marketing guidance/ templates for the franchisees.

 Social Media

  • To assist in the creation of a library of Canva templates for social media (for franchisees to use).
  • To write regular posts on LI and FB e.g. sharing news / updates / celebrations and promoting PHC services / events and workplace opportunities.
  • To share PHC content e.g. blogs, articles, case studies, quotes, pictures, videos.
  • To re-post franchisee posts.
  • To find industry-relevant articles and resources to curate and re-post.
  • To contribute to online discussions on industry topic and news.
  • To grow followers on FB and LI.
  • To create adverts on FB and LI as required.
  • To join relevant groups on FB and LI and make promotional posts/ job adverts.

 

Marketing Analytics and Reporting

  • To track advert performance and newsletter opens.
  • To carry out regular monitoring and audits relating to compliance of franchisees local marketing activities, as required.

 

Franchise Network Support

  • To be a positive representative of the Purple House Clinic franchise network, promoting and upholding the brand to franchisees, potential franchisees and the general public.
  • To take an active role in promoting and maintaining the brand values across the network, engaging in initiatives which help embed these within the network.
  • To assist in training franchisees, or their staff, regarding local marketing, as required.
  • To visit franchisees at their clinic locations and support them with local marketing plans, if required.
  • To attend and participate in training and conferences.
  • To assist in writing Operations Manual instructions (relating to marketing) and developing marketing templates as required.
  • To assist in new franchisee recruitment activities as required.

 

Network development responsibilities

  • To assist in the planning and implementation of development projects (e.g. new service brochures, new webpages, new marketing activities), including carrying out consultation with the network.
  • To attend events and meetings relating to business development projects.
  • To take part in personal continuing professional development as required to help enable acquisition of industry-specific skills.

 Other

  • To carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with the main responsibilities.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential                         

  • At least 5 years experience creating content/ writing.
  • Skills and aptitude to write content relating to mental health.
  • Experience of using FB and LI.
  • An interest in franchising and willingness to learn industry-specific skills.
  • A strong desire to be part of an organisation aimed at enhancing the lives of clients suffering with psychological difficulties, motivated by compassion, understanding and empathy.
  • High level interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use a computer, computer software packages e.g. WORD.
  • High ability and willingness to engage in independent working.
  • High personal integrity and driven to maintain high standards within the workplace.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between different clinic locations as required.
  • Punctuality and flexibility.
  • Educated at least to A-level standard.
  • UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Qualification in computer literacy e.g. European/International Computer Driving Licence (ECDL/ICDL).
