Expertise and Experience

Dr Campion is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist. She offers assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological issues including: depression, anxiety, obsessive/compulsive difficulties, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.  She works with adults of all ages and has a special interest in the long-term effects of early relational trauma. She is experienced in working with difficulties relating to life stage transitions, trauma and loss. Dr Campion also has 8 year’s post-qualification experience in neuropsychological assessment of cognitive changes in later life, post-diagnostic support and rehabilitation, working with both individuals and families.

Dr Campion is an ACAT-accredited Practitioner in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). CAT is a time-limited, relational therapy based on an integration of cognitive and psychoanalytic ideas along with personal construct theory. She has also undertaken further training in Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural and Compassion-Focussed Therapy and has recently completed Parts I and II of EMDR training (Richman EMDR Training).

Dr Campion has worked in the NHS for 14 years, including 8 years as a specialist in older adult psychology. In her current role she works across the adult age range and offers training and supervision to colleagues working in mental health.
