Expertise and Experience

Dr Redstone is a Registered Clinical Psychologist. She has experience working across the lifespan - adults, children and adolescents.  Dr Redstone provides assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive/compulsive problems, trauma, and child behavioural problems.  She specialises in Child Psychology, Attachment, and problems with emotional dysregulation.

Dr Redstone has undertaken extensive further training following qualification including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassionate Focussed Therapy and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).  Recently she has completed a year-long training at Postgraduate diploma level to become a systemic family practitioner, strengthening her skills in working with families and parents.  Dr Redstone has also undertaken additional training in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Conditions.  Dr Redstone utilises several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), DBT, DDP and systemic approaches.

In addition to working with Purple House, Dr Redstone has worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for over 5 years and continues to work in a specialist service for young people with Eating Disorders.  Throughout her roles as a Clinical Psychologist she has worked both directly and indirectly to help families through training, supervision and consultancy work.
